The Swipe Hype: Episode # 1
A modern-day salon, to discuss dating apps and the fresh new anxieties they bring. Hosted by Bombom and Lola Blackheart.
The dating game has changed with the introduction of the swipe. Like conveyor belt sushi, delish dish after next is served in an endless loop. Yet the exciting world of possibilities, butterflies in the belly and witty opening lines is rife with fake identities, cruel jokes, disappearing acts and heartache.
What to expect
In the comfort of a cosy Shoreditch loft and fueled by drink we discuss the sometimes exciting, sometimes exasperating world of dating apps. Expect a judgement free environment designed to encourage debate, swap stories and try to make sense of contemporary dating culture.
Speakers at episode # 1: You'll meet a certain ‘Tinderella' who travelled across the world to marry her match / poet, rapper & teacher Christian Foley / writer of the wonderfully weird short film Lover me Tinder.
Who should attend
If you're interested in tech and its impact on society or enjoy the twisted tales of Black Mirror, Catfish or Turned On, this one's for you. If you're an experienced swiper, dabble in dating or have never used the apps - but are itching to know what the fuss is about - come along!
